Shaun White Apparel for Boys at Target

300226_m500It may still be chilly outside, but my son doesn’t care, he wears shorts year-round and comes by it honestly as my husband is the same way.  While moms are looking ahead to warmer weather and the appropriate season for shorts,  Shaun White Apparel is bringing another season of warm weather apparel, swimwear and accessories to Target stores nationwide and

Shaun has become known as much for his outfits on the slopes, as his high flying maneuvers. Young boys (and those that shop with them) can expect more of the trendy, affordable items as they get ready for spring. From slim fit chinos, to fun graphic tees, hoodies for the chilly nights and button down wovens for dressier days, there is a full wardrobe of options.

This season’s tees and hoodies use bright colors and fun graphics, while the Henleys, polos and wovens balance out the line in muted blues and grays. Boys will also have the opportunity to grab a pair of Shaun White Apparel boardshorts, to make sure they are looking stylish at the beach or pool. All apparel and accessories are designed by Shaun and his brother Jesse, using inspiration from art, travel, music, surfing and their own edgy style.

IMG_0296Sandwiched between two girls, my son is always getting tips on how to dress to look cool.  He’s 12, often his eyes are barely open when he’s getting dressed for school in the morning, but as hormones and puberty are starting to kick in, he’s been definitely pickier on what looks good and is acceptable sixth grade attire.

The Snow White plaid shorts fit true to size for my son, are comfortable and stylish.  Normally we tend to go for darker colors for pants and shorts for him, but the white is clean and crisp for spring and can be paired with a variety of shirts.   This Summer of the Weird tee is perfectly quirky, pairs nicely color-wise and sure gets some laughs from friends.   We have a few more Shaun White tees and shirts and my son says they are “so soft” so we know the material is great quality, the cotton breathes and is flexible for kids this age!  I love that Target has style for boys, I’ve always had less fun shopping for my son than my daughters because of dull, plain clothes and Shaun White Apparel has definitely changed that.

Shaun White Home Collection: Parts Bedding Set

2x Olympic Gold Medalist Shaun White debuted a new cool home collection available at Target just for boys after Christmas.

Shaun White and his brother Jesse are responsible for creating a multitude of designs – from snowboarding gear and accessories, to shoes and apparel, and now, are launching their first ever home collection. Shaun was inspired to create a home collection after he designed a room for the Target House. Target House is an innovative approach to long-term housing, having served more than 1,300 families from around the world whose children are receiving lifesaving treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In celebration of Target House’s 10th Anniversary, Shaun and his brother created a room where the kids who were staying there could have a little fun.

Shaun and Jesse have created the entire home line themselves, using inspiration from skateboarding, music, travel and friends. The collection includes everything from bedding and curtains to lamps and piggy banks, as well as organization bins and skateboard hooks.

Our take:  My son has a few of the Shaun White shirts and shorts from Target and they are really popular right now.  The bright colors, cool patterns, and stylish looks are something my almost-11 year old son appreciates now that he’s in his tweens.  Never minding his wardrobe, he’s a touch more into trends, and Shaun White is trending at Target as well as a role model for boys.  We received the 5 piece “Parts” bedding set for my son.  Right now it’s tricky, he has to share a room with his 5 year old sister which is less than ideal for a growing boy.  Originally the room they share was only his and it’s painted green/blue buy has been taken over by all things pink.

On the top bunk we set up the fitted and loose sheets, pillow case, sham, and bedspread and he’s pretty happy with it all.  The comforter is reversible with a grey and white pattern that’s easy on the eyes and matches just about anything.  The comforter has some serious fluff and puff to it, it’s not flimsy by any means and it’s warm during this cold winter nights!  The sheets, pillow case and comforter are a soft and silky polyester that is gentle and smooth on sensitive skin.  Not the bright turquoise, but still a cool pattern that has skateboards and parts on the sheets and pillow case, suddenly my son is talking “trucks and wheels” with my husband, and wants to dust off the skateboard in the garage and ride around!  Though he doesn’t have control of the whole room anymore, his top bunk is as cool, trendy, and his own!

The 5-piece set sells at Target for $60-$80 depending on bed size. Find all the great Shaun White collection at a Target store near you, or visit,
