Sonic Drive-In: New Popcorn Chicken, Sweet Potato Tots, & Justice League Toys

Justice League Tots
SONIC and DC Comics have partnered to bring you superheroes in Tot form! For a limited time, each Wacky Pack kids’ meal will include one of 10 Justice League Tots – from Superman Tot to Wonder Woman Tot – or a special Tots card deck. The partnership with DC Comics is the first of its kind for SONIC’s popular series of Tots toys. These little guys are really cute and even have 3 “girl” superheroes to please everyone in your family.  Little details like Plastic Man’s legs being stretchy to Wonder Woman’s headband gives these toys something even a toy collector would appreciate.

Popcorn Chicken
This bite-sized menu item is hard to resist and delicious as a snack or a meal. SONIC’s Jumbo Popcorn Chicken is made with all white pieces of chicken breast and is available in snack or large sizes with your choice of three dipping sauces: Hickory BBQ, Honey Mustard or Ranch. For a limited time only, SONIC is offering a snack size Jumbo Popcorn Chicken for $1.99 after 8 p.m.  I ordered them at lunch time and they were deliciously steaming hot and the carton they come in has a perfect spot to hold your dipping sauce.  Just like the tots, I love the textures of crispy outside, warm tender meat inside.  I know my son will be thrilled at the option next time we head to Sonic!

Sweet Potato Tots
If you love sweet potatoes and SONIC’s delicious Tots, you might want to sit down for this news. SONIC is expanding its Tots offering for a limited time by introducing new Sweet Potato Tots!  I’m already a sweet potato fan (my mom candies them at Thanksgiving) so I thought the combo of sweet and salty was spot on, crispy on the outside and soft and delicious inside.  Slightly smaller than the regular tots, beautiful orange color and packed with flavor! I preferred them just as they were, no ketchup needed.  Right now you can substitute them for regular tots for a $1.50 in any meal combo!

    I have to choose just one thing? Sonic is one of my favorite places. I love their breakfast burritos, burgers (especially the ones on TX toast), popcorn chicken, and footlong coney. I also enjoy getting tots with chili, cheese, and onions! so good! and their cherry limeade CAN’T be beat!

    I love a cherry vanilla cream dr pepper! I also LOVE LOVE LOVE sweet potato tots. Like you, I think the slight salt with the tots is perfect. My daughter thinks they would be yummy with cinnamon sugar on them. I haven’t gone there yet because when this limited time only item is gone, I don’t want to be even more sad :(

    Surprisingly, I don’t like sweet potatoes but my husband does. I liked the Sonic Sweet Potato Tots and he doesn’t. They must be doing something right to get a non-eater like me to like sweet potatoes.

    I love, love, love the corn dogs and tater tots, with a cherry limeade (extra cherry syrup) on the side. When I was a kid, it was a huge treat to eat at Sonic. Even when I was in highschool we loved it. My parents had their own delivery business. So, my sisters and I usually had to help out a lot. After a long day my dad would get us all some Sonic!! Then when I got married and was pregnant with my first child, I got even more cravings for corn dogs. I once went through the drive-thru and ordered 10 corn dogs! I got some weird looks! I took them home and put them in the freezer so I could eat one whenever I wanted! :)
    Now my kids love Sonic, but they really like the gooey grilled cheese sandwiches best. . . and the tot toys! I was so excited when I saw the new Justice League Tots! How fun! We love superheroes and I’m so glad they included some of the girls. Go Wonder Woman!! I even have 2 sets of Justice League drinking glasses in my cupboard and a DC Comics Encyclopedia that has all our favorite characters. Woo hoo for Sonic! They always have such fun stuff! :)

    My day would not be complete with out Sonic’s …Sweet Tator Tots I cant live with out them. I’ve tried making them at home & I’ve tasted other place’s around, but there is no comparison to that warm sweet crispy outside and the warm mushy inside. Sonic your the best!!!

    I am addicted to the strawberry limeades! Also really love their junior cheeseburgers. Sonic knows how to do a cheeseburger you have to
    have the grilled bun and mayo. They are way cheaper and taste better than most fast food places.

    Liked on FB (Amanda Baker) and with a Sonic just down the street, I’m pretty much always there! A Cherry-Vanilla Dr. Pepper and chili-cheese tater tots are my all-time favorites. But I’ve got to admit, if I need a jolt to wake me up, a caramel java chiller with extra caramel is, without a doubt, the way to go!
