The Jensen Project: Movie/Soundtrack on DVD

More than three million viewers tuned in to NBC to watch the second Walmart and Procter & Gamble-produced TV movie The Jensen Project. For those of you who missed it, the movie is now on DVD exclusively at Walmart as a bonus pack with the soundtrack, produced by Randy Jackson and featuring tracks from Jordin Sparks, Alisan, Ilsey & Jordan, and Brooke White.

Starring Kellie Martin, LeVar Burton, Patricia Richardson, Brady Smith, Justin Kelly and Alyssa Diaz, The Jensen Project is a thrilling and fun science fiction film focusing on a secret community of geniuses conducting advanced underground research to solve the world’s most difficult problems.

Our Take: Walmart and NBC have done another great job attempting to get families to watch some wholesome entertainment together. The Jensen Project introduces Brody, an intelligent but unchallenged teen who is having troubles with school because he is just not interested. Brody soon finds out that his boring parents were once part of a secret community of geniuses, The Jensen Project, and that a rouge genius is on the verge of destroying the world, as we know it with a dangerous technology that his mom developed. Mom, Dad and Brody are called upon to save not only the Jensen Project but also the world, as we know it by working together and trusting themselves. This movie empowers kids to be more than just kids, to trust themselves and their ability to make the correct decisions when it counts, you may not be an adult but you can think logically and solve problems. Take the time to understand the issues and let your parents know what you think because no matter how smart they are they may be missing something because the scars of their past cloud their judgment. Our family enjoyed watching the Jensen Project together and we are looking forward to more NBC family movie nights.
