Chili’s Shout Out to Eat Out Contest, Fresh Pairings Menu, and
My husband and I checked out the Fresh Pairings menu that is an amazing deal, $9.99 for an appetizer and hearty meal. The kids checked out the great Pepper Pals kid’s menu.
If you think the appetizers are a smaller portion with the dinner deal, you’re wrong!! The chips and salsa and fried cheese were their normal portion, meaning plenty! The chips were thin, warm, and crispy. I love their salsa, not too spicy and full of flavor. The mozzarella was delicious and the kids love them with ranch dressing!
I ordered the margarita grilled chicken that came plated beautifully in the shape of a heart! The flavor was delicious and had a slight tang, perfectly matched with black beans and rice. Again, the portion was large, great for leftovers!
I ordered a side of flour tortillas and made tacos out of the meal, they brought 4 tortillas and I added a touch of the salsa.
My husband ordered the crispy fried shrimp that were cooked perfectly, side of fries and tequila lime sauce for dipping.
The kids ordered grilled cheese sandwiches and macaroni and cheese. Lots of cheese tonight. But, I love that they have healthy side options, fresh veggies and corn on the cob along with french fries gives parents hope their kids will sometimes opt for a vegetable! My 4 year old did, and it was a whole ear of corn.
Even with a table full of food, we decided to order one dessert to share amongst all of us. The dessert menu is extensive and mouth-watering, we chose the brownie sundae with 5 spoons! What a delicious night out, all this great food (and 4 soft drinks) for under $50!
