Bakugan "Time for Battle" on DVD
Having a boy sandwiched between two daughters, sometimes the poor boy watches too much iCarly and Strawberry Shortcake and needs to bring some testosterone to the television!
This winter will heat up with danger and tougher battles in Bakugan “Time for Battle” Volume 6, the latest DVD release from Cartoon Network‘s popular television series, featuring five action-packed episodes (total run time: 111 minutes).
From the Japanese words “baku” meaning “to explode” and “gan” meaning “sphere,” Bakugan are small ball-shaped figures from a far-off universe that morph into powerful warriors. Leading the fight are Dan and his friends who use their Battle Brawling skills to save all of mankind.
Our Take: Bakugan was ranked among the top kids’ cable programs with boys 6-11 in 2009 and is also the Toy Industry Association’s 2009 Toy for Boys of the Year and my 8-year old son loves it. In the first few episodes Dan and Drago are searching for Masquerade, who is already spying on them!They continue racking up the wins and transform into new warriors including an amazing Delta Draonoid II. But will Masquerade’s new plan to forever banish Dan and his friends to the Doom Dimension succeed? The show proves exciting and what I love is after shutting down the tv, my son heads to his room and plays out the show and uses his imagination to create his own scenarios and alternate endings! I like that more than rough housing or “fighting” the thing it inspires in my son is creativity and imagination!
