Souplantation & Sweet Tomatoes
A couple weeks ago, I won a contest on Twitter, some vouchers for 2 meals at Souplantation & Sweet Tomatoes and I was thrilled. I’ve never eaten at the restaurant, but so many were cropping up in Northern California that I was anxious to try them out! Things you can find on their menu…
Tossed Salads
Prepared Salads
Soups
Bakery (breads, muffins)
Hot Pastas & Kitchen Favorites
Dessert Bar
From their website…
With 110 company-owned restaurants in 15 states, 265 million guests since 1978 have helped us to be #1 in fresh produce and salads, made-from-scratch soups, hot-tossed pastas, freshly baked breads and muffins, fresh fruit, frozen yogurt, and more.
We pride ourselves on offering an all-you-care-to-eat dining experience where each of our guests can create a meal tailored to their needs. Of course, you can count on fresh, high-quality ingredients and daily made-from-scratch menu items.
Our Take: Buffet-style restaurants are great for our family because there is always something for everyone. I have a picky 10 year old, who was THRILLED to know that the Souplantation restaurant we went to had the creamiest mac and cheese ever! My youngest loved all the bakery muffins, especially the chocolate chip and could eat her weight in Jell-o. My son found the baked potato bar to his liking, even tried the chicken chunk soup and sundae bar his favorites! Hubby and I love a large salad bar with all the fixings! The freshly-made sourdough bread was great and we couldn’t get enough of the melt-in-your-mouth apple cobbler!
Another thing we loved about Souplantation was the sectioned kid’s trays. If you have kids like mine who have a ‘thing’ about their food touching, you’ll love the little things like the trays! We’ve since gone a second time to the restaurant and something else you’ll love is the pricing. Adults pay $9 and some change for all-you-can-eat, but the kids…6-12 pay $4.29, and littles 3-6, $1.29!! Doesn’t that just make so much sense to price according to how much they’d actually eat! I’m impressed!
Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes want to give TWO of my lucky readers 2 free meals each to their restaurant!
