Imaginary play is crucial in all young children’s development. Something that all 3 of my children have enjoyed is playing kitchen and acting like mom and dad! Melissa & Doug have a fabulous line of Play Food that’s good enough to eat! The attention to detail and the construction of the the toys are top notch!
Our take: We were given a Slice and Back Cookie Set to review. We are a family that loves to make cookies and cinnamon rolls straight from the tubes at the store! When my youngest (age 3.5) saw this toy, she was so excited to play!! All the different cookie “decorations” were fun for her as she sorted them in like groups and then by colors lined up on the cookie sheet. This was so fabulous for her sorting skills, counting, patterns, and of course just the idea of playing a baker! Our couch cushions were lifted to make an imaginary oven and what a fun time we had enjoying this toy!
This colorful wooden set includes 12 wooden, sliceable cookies and 12 toppings, wooden knife, spatula, cookie sheet and a kitchen mitt for safe, “low-calorie” play! The cookies store in a durable dough tube.
