I so could have used this this past weekend! I could feel that my son was running a temp but you can just forget a thermometer in any orface! This sounds very unintrusive and perfect for a fussy child.
My daughter gets super high temperatures–usually between 104 and 105–and usually in the middle of the night. They have to be carefully monitored. This would make it so much easier and less intrusive.

I love that it is as acurate as a rectal thermometer but not as invasive. My poor son would definitely like this better. It’s not that the rectal thermometer bugs him too much, but it’s hard for him to lay still long enough to get a good reading.

Ive seen these used in hospitals. This would be great for us. I just had to go to the hospital for my daughter. Were we learned she suffers from fever seizures. She is 2 and we have to worry until she is about 5. When she gets sick we have to take her temp. every hour for 2 days. So this would help alot more then the old slow ones!

I need this because with four kids someone is always sick. Plus, it’s a real struggle trying to take my son’s temperature.
With twin 5 year olds in the house germs are everywhere. They bring them home from school. They hate having their temperature taken though. It’s always a fight. This would make it so much easier!

I love that I can use it on my daughter while she is sleeping, she hates having her temperature taken.
I need this because my youngest gets a lot of colds and any time we have to take her temperature, she makes a big to do and it becomes such a struggle with her.
This would be great so my youngins won’t fight me to get their temps.
I need this because taking my daughter’s temp is so difficult! She gags, squirms, whines and everything else. Seconds with the Exergen would be wonderful compared to a minute or more with our digital thermometer. Thanks!

It sounds easy to use, plus I like that it’s more sanitary than the in-the-mouth thermometers when everyone in the house is sick. Looking around the site, I’d love to have one of the veterinary scanners, too. I’ve done enough rectal temps to last me a lifetime!
I need the accuracy
I need this because our little one cries when we use a digital thermometer under her arm and moves so much it is hard to get a good reading. It would be nice to have a calm way to do this.
I need this thermometer because I teach preschool and I feel so bad for the kiddos when they don’t feel well. Hate to bug them with an invasive thermometer.

I threw away my cheap thermometers and got the glass kind, with the mercury line that you read, and when I was shaking it, it flew out of my hand and broke in the bathtub (luckily). So last night my daughter woke at 3 am and she was SO hot, I knew she had a fever, but had no idea how high it was. Boy would this thing have come in handy last night!

My digital scanner is well past it’s prime and cannot be trusted for a true reading. Who wants a mercury thermometer stuck into an orifice when you are coughing, sneezing or congested – or when you are nauseated or have diarrhea or vomiting?
