*contest closed!*An Awesome Book! *Giveaway*
As a former teacher, and as a current mom, children’s books are part of everyday life. Reading for pleasure, reading to learn, reading to dream are all things I try and enstill in my kids every day.
I came across writer and illustrator, Dallas Clayton and his first book, An Awesome Book! and I have to say that it’s one of my new favorite reads. I have read it to my kids, ages 10, 8, and 3, and don’t be swayed by the cartoon-nature of the illustrations, this book should be read by every adult who’s ever had a dream.
My two oldest kids, sat there for a minute nodding their heads and stated, “mom, that is so true!” Take a look for yourself, the whole story (scroll right)! The illustrations are colorful, creative, and tie in great with the text.
Reading this story I immediately think of great writers such as Shel Silverstein and Dr. Seuss, he’s that good! Read more of his writing on his website, http://dallasclayton.com/ .
An Awesome Book is in it’s 3rd pressing in 3 short months and has yet to hit Amazon.com, way to go Dallas!
You can order your own hard copy of the book, http://store.veryawesomeworld.com/ for $15.00. Grab one for yourself, one for a friend, and if you have children, one for your child’s teacher, it would make a perfect gift! At the end of the month Urban Outfitters will be carrying the book as well.
Dallas has graciously offered to giveaway a copy of the book to one of my lucky readers!!
